IMPORTANT NOTICE : YOUR PROPERTY TAX BILLS  If you own rentals or investment properties in Stanislaus County - call 209-525-6388 when you change your primary residence.  The county does not automatically change all of the "mail to adresses" on file for all properties you own, and the county has a "Do Not Forward" status for their mail . So your mail and tax bills will not be forwarded. It will take about 18 months for them to catch up with you, but you will owe the tax bill plus interest & penalties- no excuses.   I learned the hard way.
