Oakdale and Riverbank are situated in the heart of California‘s Central Valley. Located on the eastern edge of the valley, these two cities are a gateway to Yosemite National Park as well as to the entire Sierra Nevada Mountain Range and the historic town of Knights Ferry. Oakdale can be reached from the west by exiting Highway 99 near Modesto and traveling east on Highway 120. Primarily an agricultural community, Oakdale is also home to several large manufacturing firms including Sconza Chocolate, ConAgra Foods and the Ball Can Company.
The Oakdale Rodeo was the first outdoor rodeo in the Western United States, and since 1954, has been held, rain or shine the second weekend in April. Oakdale earned the title "Cowboy Capital of the World" because of the number of nationally acclaimed Professional Rodeo Association cowboys who have grown up, trained and retired here.
Centrally located and just a quick 40 minute scenic drive to the historic Gold Country, home of the 49er gold rush.
